Anokijig Registration 2025

A Video from our Executive Director Darin Holden regarding Camper Registration for 2025. Please watch the video, or see the transcript below before beginning your registration.

Greetings from Camp Anokijig!

Read on, or if you prefer, view the 10 min video from our Executive Director Darin Holden to hear the details regarding the opening of 2025 Registrations and a bit more Anokijig news.

“I hope that today finds your family safe, well. Here at camp, we are planning for the warmth of the first day of summer camp 2025, when we’ll be kicking off our 100th Anokijig summer camp!! I know many of you have been waiting to see when you can sign up for summer camp. Well, I’m happy to report that the time has finally come. We apologize that it’s a little later than we would have liked. But the 2025 system has been checked and is ready to go today!!

If you were with us last year you know we tried a new registration system. Unfortunately, that one didn’t work well so we are reverting to our older version until a new version is complete and tested. So, what does that look like.

  1. For you, in this system you won’t have any logins for the registration part.
  2. You’ll fill out a separate form for each of your children and pay separately for each with a credit card or PayPal. The system will give you a confirmation number once your payment is accepted.
  3. On our end there is a bit more manual work in this older system. Therefore, once you register it will take at least a few days or more for you to get your final confirmation email from our office that everything is set.
  4. That email will also describe the 2025 process on how to complete the online camper onboarding forms (health, confidential, etc) , how to make payments, and in a later correspondence how to access the new Tradingpost system.

If you have questions just email or call us.

Besides the registration site, one new development is that our trading post site has been upgraded. To alleviate confusion:

  • We have separated all the trading post (camp store) functions from the registration function.
  • At the Tradingpost site you will be able to add money for your camper and also shop yourself.
  • This program will send the parent an email each time something is purchased while at camp with the cost and the balance left, hence you’ll now be able to see how your camper’s account is doing throughout the week and easily add funds at any time.
  • Tradingpost is live online right now so you can shop now, and keep an eye out in spring for the 2025 items to come available!

Remember, we’ll send you a separate email after registration regarding the process of adding money for the summer.

Finally, in addition to getting registration open this week we also have just gotten our registration office moved into the top floor of our new Centennial Lodge! That’s right, it is here! There’s still a little more work to do on the dining/program space floor and the lower level storm shelter, but that will be done soon too. It will be a great addition to Anokijig and will provide improved storm shelter capacity, improved health lodge, indoor program space, and More! Most importantly, when the kids are here this summer if there is a storm, all the kids will be safely together inside, underground in half the time it took before.

Thank you to all that have contributed to this project so far; we couldn’t have started without you. Now, we are still raising funds for this project as well as the other 2 pillars of the 3 in our Bridge to the Future Capital project (western lodge upgrade/facelift, and additional housing to increase year-round programming). In Fact, right now we have a generous donor that has offered a $75k match for donations received toward the campaign between now and 12-31-24. If you’d like to help us get to that full match, please visit the link below. Together, we will keep Anokijig vibrant for another 100 years.

So, as of today, we have started Anokijig’ s 100th registration season. Registrations are coming in fast and I would expect to have some of those mid-summer week filled to capacity and starting waiting lists by early to mid-January. So, jump online to reserve your spot now; we’re a big camp but sessions do fill up, so don’t delay. If you are trying to register to be with a friend or a group of friends we do allow friends of the same or close grade levels to request to be housed in the same living section. Each camper is allowed to request housing with one other friend so if you have a group of more than 2 that would like to be housed together, choose one person in the group for all the rest to list as a friend on the registrations form and have that person list just one of the others, that works best in our system to make the arrangements. However, we have ton’s of campers that come alone and make new friends for life, right away. So don’t feel you need a buddy to come to Anokijig. If you’re new to Anokijig you’ll want to check out the list on our theme day schedule. Each week we do a different theme for a couple of the days of the week to make even more outrageous fun. Check out the 2025 Summer Camp Theme Day schedule.

Take Care,
