Each year Camp Anokijig participates in United Way's Giving Tuesday Campaign! Join us on Tuesday December 2nd, 2025 to help support our volunteer staff program.
How Giving Tuesday Helps Our Volunteers
For 100 years, Camp Anokijig has been resolute in its commitment to service, fostering a community built on the moral values found in all walks of life: Caring, Honesty, Respect, Responsibility, and Service.
Each summer, we welcome hundreds of dedicated volunteers who become part of the Anokijig family. As our staff numbers grow, so does the need to support them as they work tirelessly to carry out our mission.
Camp Anokijig participates in the United Way Giving Tuesday campaign to provide essential support for our summer staff, including:
- “4th Meal” late night snack/meal for staff on their time off
- Staff Laundry
- Post-training social event

By the Numbers
Throughout summer 2025 we kept our summer staff well fed in evenings!
Each staff received two nights off each week with an opportunity to enjoy our Staff Snack, in total we served 2,618 staff snacks
- Over 1,100 slices of Toppers Pizza and 900 toppers Stix,
- 40+ Gigantic Party boxes of sub sandwiches
- 300 Dilly Bars
- 30 Gallons of Ice Cream
- 90 Bags of Chips and Crackers with dips and spreads
- 25 Family Sized Bags of Popcorn
- 300 Bagels with Cream cheese
On average Camp laundered 50-60 bags of Staff laundry per week for a summer total of well over 500 bags of Laundry!
Ways to get involved with Giving Tuesday!
Giving Tuesday is an all hands on deck event!
During Giving Tuesday our goal is to raise $8,000. We have a donor who has pledged to match any money raised towards our goal up to $8,000!
You can contribute through our donation portal below, we also need help in getting the word out! In the lead up to Giving Tuesday and throughout the day please share and participate the social media campaign we have rolling out!
Tuesday Evening at 7:00 pm CST The Camp Anokijig team will be going live on Instagram (@CampAnokijig) to hold an evening of silly challenges and gratitude for all the support during Giving Tuesday!
